Privacy Policy
DevDuo's ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our QR Code Generator – Create QR mobile application (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect and Process
Our app functions entirely offline and on your device. However, to provide its core features, it requests the following local device permissions:
- Camera Permission: Required solely to scan QR codes in real-time. Video data from your camera is processed locally and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted to any server.
- Photos / Storage Permission: Required to allow you to upload images from your gallery to scan existing QR codes, and to save newly generated QR codes directly to your device's photo gallery.
- User Inputs: Data you input to generate a QR code (such as URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, contact information, or UPI IDs) is processed entirely locally on your device to create the QR code image.
2. Data Storage and Retention
Zero Cloud Uploads: We do NOT upload, collect, or transmit any of your generated QR codes, scanned data, or personal information to our servers or any third-party databases. All processing is 100% on-device.
Local History (SQLite): To provide a seamless experience, the app automatically saves the QR codes you generate into a local SQLite database stored securely within the app's isolated directory on your specific device. This allows you to view your "History" offline.
Data Retention Period: Your generated QR code history is retained locally on your device indefinitely, strictly for your convenience, as long as the application remains installed.
3. Data Deletion Policy
Because your data is never sent to our servers, you have complete and immediate control over its deletion. You can delete your data at any time through the following methods:
- Individual Deletion: Inside the app, navigate to the "History" tab. Tap the "Trash/Delete" icon next to any saved QR code to immediately and permanently delete that specific record from your device's database.
- Complete Data Deletion: You can completely and permanently delete all saved history and
user inputs at once by doing either of the following:
- Uninstalling the application from your device.
- Going to your device Settings > Apps > QR Code Generator > Storage, and tapping "Clear Data".
Since we do not collect your data on our servers, there is no need to submit a data deletion request to us. You hold the only copy of your data.
4. Third-Party Services
We may use anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as app crash logs) through standard analytics tools (like Google Play Console) to improve app stability. This data contains no personally identifiable information or content from your QR codes.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
