To keep the app functional and bug-free, we may collect minimal, non-identifiable data:
- Anonymous Analytics: We may gather anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics to understand how features (like the Compare Slider or Batch Processing) are performing.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Data Retention: Because your data (such as lifetime compression statistics and app preferences) is stored exclusively on your local device and not on any external servers, we retain this data for only as long as you keep the App installed on your device. Processed images are saved directly to your device's local gallery or storage.
Data Deletion: You have full control over your data. To completely delete all of your app data, you can do either of the following:
- Uninstall the App: Deleting the Photo Compressor app from your device will permanently erase all locally stored app data and statistics.
- Clear App Data: You can clear the app's data through your device's system settings (e.g., Settings > Apps > Photo Compressor > Storage > Clear Data / Clear Storage).
- Images: Any compressed images you have chosen to save to your device's gallery must be deleted manually through your device's photos app.
5. Third-Party Services
If the app contains advertisements or utilizes third-party analytics (like Google Firebase), these services may collect anonymous identifiers as dictated by their respective privacy policies.
