Privacy Policy for SaveAnything
DevDuo ("we", "us", or "our") built the SaveAnything app as a Free application. This SERVICE is provided by DevDuo at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.
1. Data Collection and Use
SaveAnything is a 100% offline, privacy-first application. We do NOT collect, transmit, upload, or store your personal data, links, files, media, or notes on any external servers. All data you save within the app is processed and stored strictly locally on your device using a secure local database.
- Internet Permission: The app requests internet access solely to fetch rich link previews (titles, descriptions, and thumbnails) directly from the public websites you bookmark. We do not track or log the URLs you save.
- Storage/Media Permission: The app requests storage access to allow you to select local files and images to save into your vault. The app does not scan your storage or upload your files to the cloud.
2. Data Retention Policy
Because SaveAnything is an offline application, the data you save within your vault is retained strictly locally on your specific device for as long as the application remains installed. We do not possess a centralized server, and therefore we do not hold, backup, or retain any of your data ourselves.
3. Data Deletion Policy (How to Delete Your Data)
You have complete control over your data. Since your data is not stored on our servers, we cannot delete it for you remotely. However, you can easily and permanently delete your data from the app at any time using any of the following methods:
- In-App Deletion: You can delete individual vault items (links, files, notes) directly within the SaveAnything app by tapping the options menu on any item and selecting "Delete".
- Clear App Data: You can wipe your entire vault instantly by navigating to your device's Settings > Apps > SaveAnything > Storage > Clear Data.
- Uninstall the App: Uninstalling the SaveAnything app from your device will permanently and irreversibly delete the local database and all saved vault items from your phone.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
